Providence Christian Academy...Where The Lord Provides
OUR WHY
Because we love our children and all children, we wish for them to enjoy a learning environment in which they are loved, supported, and prepared for life through Christ-centered education. Regardless of anyone’s past, we recognize that in Jesus, everyone has a bright present, and an even greater future! Our thinking remains forward, not backward: “One thing [we] do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead” (Philippians 3:13). Our goal is to lift up every student and teacher and to encourage and help cultivate their unique, God-given abilities to be leaders for Christ in their communities and throughout the world!
OUR VISION
With the good Lord’s blessing and for His glory, we plan to build a fully accredited hybrid school comprised of every age group, Preschool – 12th Grade. Depending on student demand and teacher availability, we would love to begin our first school year, 2026-27, with a complete school! Regardless of timeframe, however, this is our ultimate goal. We intend to take a more hands-on learning approach with numerous experiments, projects, and field trips. Also, instead of featuring a single curriculum throughout our program, we plan to utilize a number of Christian-based curriculums to maximize our children’s educational experience.
OUR FORMAT
Hybrid schools are booming in popularity for understandable reasons. They combine professional teaching with parental guidance, classroom instruction with hands-on learning, structure while maintaining versatility. The design is to have 2 in-person, instructional days and 2 days of reinforcement/work at home. The 5th school day may occasionally be utilized for special projects, trips, career and technical education (CTE) experiences, etc.
OUR BELIEFS
We fully trust in the God of Scripture, in Jesus as our Savior, and in the Holy Spirit’s leading by His Word. All of our education centers around these principles. Each of our teachers exemplifies a faith-led life. While every student is encouraged to do the same, no pupil will be pressured into a relationship with Jesus or forced to reflect the viewpoints of any teacher or administrator. Also, with respect to individual spiritual convictions, no student will be coerced to participate in any religious exercise or activity with which he or she may be uncomfortable (Romans 14). As God has granted our staff the time and space to make spiritual decisions for ourselves, we follow in His footsteps with our students.
OUR ATHLETICS
While spirituality and academics remain our prime focus, competitive, physical activity is important to us, as well! We believe in the life lessons imparted through Christ-centered athletics and intend for our children to enjoy these blessings from Day 1! Our plan is to have competitive girls’ and boys’ volleyball, boys’ basketball, boys’ and girls’ archery, and boys’ and girls’ golf, all in our first year! We are also open to adding additional sports, such as, girls’ basketball, track and field, cross country, baseball, soccer, etc., as enrollment, student interest, and coaching availability allows. Basketball and volleyball teams will be comprised of Elementary (5th and 6th grades), Junior High (7th and 8th grades), JV (typically 7th -9th grades), and Varsity (primarily 9th -12th grades). We are excited for our athletics!
OUR GOVERNANCE
Like the founders of our incredible country, we see our school as an educational effort “of the people, by the people, for the people.” We plan to have a school board, made up of caring individuals with relatives currently enrolled in the school, voted in to serve definite terms by parents/guardians of children currently enrolled in the school. Our school board members will make school policy. Parents with enrolled children will retain the right to attend board meetings and to address the board. Our school will always be a place where our children’s wellbeing comes first and where parents’ voices are heard. We look forward to this endeavor together!
